What fabric do I recommend for this cross stitch pattern? For beginners usually it’s recommended to start with 14 or 16 counts AIDA.
What thread is best for cross stitching? Any good quality embroidery thread (floss),any brand that suits you, use 2 strands for better coverage. Do not cut on the quality, you want cross stitching to be a relaxing experience. Using bad/cheap AIDA, and then have colours leak when washing can lead to a bitter disappointment.
